ARCO to build Topgolf multi-level venue in Washington state

Topgolf Entertainment Group - the sporting-come-tech concept which turns 21 this year - is expanding on both sides of the Atlantic.

Ground was recently broken at Topgolf Renton-Seattle, which aims to open next year off Logan Avenue, near Boeing's Renton Factory and The Landing Shopping mall. The three-level venue, which is expected to employ more than 500 staff, will feature 102 outdoor hitting bays, a full-service restaurant and bar, and event space for corporate and social occasions.
 

The venue will feature Topgolf's new skylit central atrium design. With comfortable seating, yard games, and a giant video wall, the skylit central atrium creates a leisure space and connects the fun of hitting bays with the entertainment offerings in the patio, bars and roof terraces.

TEG has also announced details of a 10-year partnership with St Andrews Links. Through this strategic partnership, TEG will become the exclusive golf entertainment partner for the 'Home of Golf', along with Toptracer as the official range technology of St Andrews Links.

The tracing technology provides golfers with accurate, live shot data that can be used for practice purposes or to compete in challenges and games with friends. Cameras mounted around the facility trace every shot struck to produce a range of data including distance, speed, launch angle and shape, which is then displayed on a 21-inch monitor in each hitting bay. 

Since 1992, ARCO Construction has grown from a single office in St. Louis, Missouri to a major company with 29 offices. As the seventh largest design/build general contractor in the U.S., ARCO's portfolio covers more than 4,000 projects across 48 states. High-End finishes in TopGolf venues include wood and aluminum ceiling elements, custom fixtures, stacked stone and roof trellises.

Golf, in line with many leisure industries, is placing greater emphasis on digital services and contactless payments as it tries to bounce back from the pandemic. Clubessential, for example, recently rolled out solutions for specific markets.

Allegiant Travel Company has announced construction on Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor will resume this month. Construction on the project – billed as a first-of-its-kind destination resort in southwest Florida – was suspended in March 2020 due to the pandemic. The project will have a significant impact on the local economy, eventually employing about 800 construction workers.
