The London Design District is set for its official launch today, serving as a magnet for creatives and remote workers looking for affordable and flexible workspaces.

Workers can rent a desk, floor or an entire building from £5 per sq ft for the first year at the new district, which is located on the Greenwich Peninsula.

The architects' brief was to create a space that they would like to work in themselves, and they have prioritised natural ventilation, high ceilings, north-facing lights and pedestrian movement for a healthy and happy workplace. The masterplan was created by HNNA founder Hannah Corlett and overseen by Knight Dragon Head of Design Matt Dearlove.

Bureau is setting its memberships from £80 a month, which provides access to workspace in one of the communal lounges, as well as Bureau’s business-support services, calendar of creative events, and wider community of creative students, professionals and businesses.

Elsewhere in the capital, Black Mountain Partners, a London-based property development and investment company, has deployed Swivel's Interactive Space Showcase to provide immersive virtual tours for more than 65,000 sq ft  of office space at 68 King William St. in London.

Interactive Space Showcase creates detailed digital twins of physical spaces to virtualise critical interactions throughout the office marketing process. It enables prospective tenants and their brokers to digitally tour a given space, often prior to a build out.
