Work on the longest bridge in China – made completely of glass – has finished, with an official opening due for next month.
The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon bridge, in central China at the Tianmenshan National Forest Park in Zhangjiajie is 1410ft long and 984ft high above the valley. The bridge will be able to hold up to 800 people at once.
And, as a way of proving the safety of the structure, the bridge operators invited a news reporter to test it – with a sledgehammer.
