Commenting on his appointment, he said: “We have a fascinating marketplace that is challenging but opportunity rich.

“Planned spend in the UK’s infrastructure and real estate is at unprecedented levels and investors, developers and owners are looking to get real value out of their land, real estate and other assets across almost all sectors.”

Turner & Townsend’s UK advisory team comprises experts from several disciplines to establish, control, protect and improve programme, project and operational performance. This includes expertise acquired from the purchase of operational excellence consultant Suiko in 2016.

By becoming MD for this part of the business, McGettrick also joins the UK Management Board.

Patricia Moore, UK Managing Director and Executive Board Member, added: “I am delighted to welcome Peter to the UK Board to lead our advisory services.

“Our health and safety business has grown significantly under Peter’s direction in the last two years. I look forward to working with him to continue to drive our ambitious growth plans.”
