BP Exploration and Production, the largest investor in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, has awarded a contract to C-Innovation (C-I), an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore, who will become responsible for the facilities management of BP’s regional assets.

Founded in 2007, C-I has become a leader in subsea construction, expanding to become a diversified company, supporting leading marine oil and gas operations globally.

The contract encompasses subsea construction, inspection, maintenance, repair and logistics services for BP in the Gulf of Mexico over a three-year period, with the work set to include a range of installations and facility inspections.

“This is a very large and significant contract for C-I and it helps solidify our reputation as a true, single source for subsea solutions with the backing and support of the diverse family of companies within the ECO group,” said David Sheetz, Manage of C-I’s Subsea unit.

“C-I’s ability to offer a complete suite of services allows clients to have a single point of contact for all projects, which makes budgeting easier, saving time as well as money.”

C-I will utilise Edison Chouest Offshore’s fleet of vessels in offering these services, whilst also utilising its own expertise that include project management and subsea engineering services.
